Abstract
An integrated timing jitter of 43 as [10 kHz-50 MHz] is measured from a semiconductor saturable absorber modelocked Cr:LiSAF laser. AM-to-PM transfer functions´ characterization shows self-steepening is the dominant effect of excess timing jitter.
