Network Agent´s Advice for Promoting the Reuse of Mechanical Parts

To achieve an effective re-use of parts, Part agent that is a combination of network agent and RFID attached to part is proposed. Initial simulation using network agent shows the possibility of the system. The operation stage when the part is out of management of manufacturer is considered to be the critical stage for realizing re-use of parts. A scheme is proposed using Part agents to provide the user with advices on maintenance based on the user´s preference. The simulation with simulated Part agents shows the effectiveness of the scheme. Remaining issues including the function of the system and its implementation is discussed
