  • Abstract
To introduce the B to B EC system, it is necessary to reform the current business process. Generally, there are three types of problems in business process matters: (1) the business process itself is complex; (2) a business rule is not established; and (3) the business process includes various factors of computerization. When we try to design a new business process to solve these problems, enough time and adequate knowledge are required. The reason is that we can design a new business process for a company only after we complete the analysis of the current business process. Analysis and design of a business process need special skills such as industrial knowledge, management know-how, and system integration ability. This paper presents a method, which enables one to design a new business process more easily and in a shorter time. This method consists of the following steps: (a) select a business template, which is ideal for the targeted company; (b) adjust the selected template by inputting the company´s necessary specifications, such as maximum period of negotiation with potential suppliers, acceptable response time, and minimum required security; and (c) generate the business process by combining the image units of business operations. The business template is the combined images of the business scene, which figures operational facilities and system facilities. Plural templates are prepared to correspond with the characteristics of the problems
