Abstract :
A class of lowpass filters with single ripple in both passband and stopband is introduced. For given loss characteristics in the passband and stopband, the design procedure is described. The required order of the filter function is between those of the corresponding Chebyshev filter and elliptic filter, but with smaller critical-pole Q. The new filter is easier to tune than the elliptic filter since it possesses multiple-order zeros
