Abstract
The results of using a general-purpose Maxwell solver to derive equivalent circuits for various components of an electronic package are illustrated. The package can be inserted in a SPICE-type circuit simulation program to investigate the electrical performance of the package. The finite-difference-time-domain (FDTD) algorithm is found to be best suited for this purpose, and is used exclusively to derive the results presented
