Abstract :
GSM based passive radar utilizes the GSM signal transmitted by GSM base station as an illuminator of opportunity. In this paper, GMSK modulation adopted by GSM signal is analyzed, and analytical expression of GSM signal time-delay and Doppler-shifted ambiguity function are obtained by approximating GMSK to MSK modulation and regarding the symbol sequence as pseudo-random sequence. Finally, the rationality of the approximate method is also verified by the simulations.
