  • Abstract
A new technique is proposed to reduce the torque-ripple of the concentrated-winding interior permanent magnet motor (IPMSM) under saliency-based sensorless drive. It is based on the combination of circular-flux-barriers at the rotor-yoke and the V-shape-magnets. It is applied to 45 Nm-5.5 kW industrial drive IPMSM to fulfill the torque-ripple requirement with a large region for sensorless rotor position detection.
