Abstract :
Soil column experiments were designed to study copper leaching from compost to red soil under simulating rainfall condition. Compost used was polluted with different concentration of copper. The factors that effected the leaching of copper were examined such as pH, electric conductivity rate (EC, Electric Conductivity), dissolved organic matter (DOM, Dissolved Organic Matter). The results showed that the acidity in the leachate liquid increased with the increase of Cu concentration in the compost . The electric conductivity rate increased with the increase of Cu concentration in compost. When pH decreased, the dissolve of metal-organic chelated matter led to the release of DOM and the release of dissolved Cu ions.
