Abstract :
The aim of the BIOPTICAS project is to develop optically-based analytical techniques for the detection and measurement of low concentrations of organic pollutants in the aquatic environment. A number of sensors and biochemical methods are being investigated, enabling the potential development of highly sensitive biosensing instruments for the measurement of pesticides and herbicides in surface, ground and drinking waters
