  • Abstract
Medical institutions collect and utilize biometric information of patients, and provide medical service customized for individual patients. There is increasing need of managed security as an alternative to the threat of privacy relating to biometric information leakage. In this study, SSL/TLS(Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security) is applied in order to protect biometric information when sending biometric information that is generated real time in medical managed security and collected in a mobile device and SSL to HIS (hospital information system). An SSL security model between mobile device and HIS has been designed and applied to send biometric information safely and wire shark was used to verify packet transmission between mobile and HIS.
