Abstract
The traditional way to evaluate the economic growth by growth rate and gross products neglects the sustainability of the economic entity. This paper examines this problem in view of resources consumption and environmental concerns. By means of establishing the DEA (data envelopment analysis) model of the input-output matrix, the study evaluates the economic developing situation of China in 2006 to find out the comparative efficiency of economic quality among different regions. In addition, specific policy suggestions for different regions are provided according to the empirical results.
