Abstract
The paper describes the “Enhanced Multimedia Recorder” (EMMR), which provides a programmable access method for multimedia data. The EMMR records heterogeneous multimedia data and then organizes them into meaningful units by dividing the recorded data using heuristic rules. The structured data representation within the EMMR framework can enable application programmers to access data segments organized from multimedia data
