Abstract :
We studied the landscape changes in Zhalong Wetland by using satellite-images and GIS technique. We analyzed the temporal and spatial changes of in the wetlands. Our results shows that there several changes have been happening in the wetland, such as water distribution pattern, increasing alkaline land cover, and less vegetation cover. These trends continue could change the integrity of ecosystem, reduce bio-diversity and ecological functions of the wetland system; therefore, management efforts should be strengthened and a series of mechanism of wetlands restoration need to be set up.
