The deficiencies of current used dehumidification systems for main cable of suspension bridge are proposed by thorough analysis. A design plan is proposed to keep the main cable closed and with minor positive pressure. The dehumidification system for main cable of Taizhou Yangtze River Highway Bridge was investigated. In addition, the key equipments of the system were determined by detailed calculation. By comparison with the current systems for the main cable dehumidifying, the scheme of the closed minor positive pressure system is simple and energy saving for the long-term operation and maintenance.
