Abstract :
Finding appropriate signal descriptors for identification of an unknown system linking spontaneous heart rate variability and other physiological signals is considered here. A new method is proposed and its results compared with other existing methods in frequency domain and by parametric analysis. It is also shown that nonlinear identification is not necessary if neurocardiovascular system modelling is required and the proposed method is employed.
