Abstract :
The burst of data leads to new requirement for high capacity of communication networks, bringing more activities for the industry. Some institutes public long term traffic forecasts for individual countries or continents even for the world, few of which have their forecasting methods known to the world. However, long term traffic forecasting is important for the industry to form a long-term strategy for communication development. A long term traffic forecast algorithm is proposed in this paper, and a case study of traffic forecast for China in 2020 is represented as a proof for the proposed algorithm.
