Abstract :
An application-specific video amplifier that incorporates such properties as high gain, large dynamic range and low noise level and processes complex signals is quite a challenge in design. It is, of course essential to choose proper devices, but in order to make them operate at their best, the key is to design a good signal path. In addition an excellent amplifier should be characterized by key parameters. As a result, the selection and definition of parameters are extremely important as well as their testing techniques. A video amplifier module is presented in the paper, which has a total gain up to 95 dB, bandwidth of 9 MHz and a system AGC dynamic range of 65 dB with output amplitude at 5~8 Vp-p and noise level at 30 μVp-p
