Abstract
In the following article, we explain our process of integrating research and evaluation into the development of Web sites using five steps: (1) profiling the target audience, (2) assessing the audience´s mental model of the Web site content, (3) providing guidance from existing research on Web site design and research methodologies, (4) evaluating prototype Web sites, and (5) assessing user´s information gain, understanding, and behaviors
