Abstract :
It is shown that a simple method of speckle diversification by small transducer displacements is approximately as effective as previously published more complicated methods. Results of three series of measurements on a tissue phantom are presented and discussed. It is concluded that the degree of speckle reduction achieved is worth the expense of the more complicated processing required
