  • Abstract
While the relatively new medium of podcasting is seeing increasingly wide adoption in the general populace, its rate of adoption in the corporate realm has been slower, and its use as a medium for the propagation of technical content may not be very well-known outside of early adopters. Yet evidence is beginning to suggest podcasting may be an exceptional medium for this task. By learning a key tool called Audacity, the open-source audio production program favored by a large percentage of podcasters, technical communicators can become central to their organizations´ current or planned use of podcasting as an important supplementary method of delivering technical content. This paper presents a brief tutorial on Audacity -how to download it, install it, and then use its basic features to produce a simple podcast
