Abstract :
The electric field inside the emission region of a normally-on driving under-gate field emission display (FED) panel is calculated by finite element method. The emission property of the CNT film is also studied by numerical calculation method. The results indicate that a uniform and large emission area could be obtained in this new under-gate FED by adopting negative gate voltage and higher anode voltage. Compared with the conventional under-gate FED, this normally on under-gate FED achieves large emission area, notable emission uniformity, high luminance efficacy and high anode voltage.
