Abstract :
This paper considers a multi-plane architecture based on space and wavelength switching for a more energy-efficient and energy-proportional interconnection network. The power dissipation of the proposed architecture is evaluated with respect to the network utilization, an increasingly important network metric in high performance computing platforms.
