Abstract
A FlexRay-compliant current-mode transmitter (CM-Tx) with area efficient ESD protection network is proposed and verified in 0.18-μm Bulk-BCD process. The proposed ESD network saves 33% ESD device area in comparing to the traditional method, moreover, a low-β gain isolation diodes are also employed to achieve CM-Tx with low leakage current.
