Abstract
The PID algorithm is the most popular feedback controller used dynamic control technique. It consists of three basic modes, the Proportional mode, the Integral and the Differential modes, and each has a special purpose. Based on the PID controller, the temperature control structure is proposed for polymerase chain reaction (PCR), from which, a huge number of copies of a DNA segment can be copied. An auto-tune algorithm is designed in temperature control procedure in order to provide adequate control for the PCR device. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed PID controller is efficient and the time taken for the circle time is short.
