            Abstract : 
Personal authentication with facial color/gray image has a problem that it is weak to the change of illumination. This paper proposes a new method for face authentication using characteristic facial parts extracted by a thermo-vision camera. Our method using only some characteristic facial parts is effective enough to obtain 90% recognition rate.
