Abstract :
LED based lightning systems require specific methodologies for protection implementation against electrical overstress, electrostatic discharge and various natural or artificial electromagnetic disturbances on the power lines. In this work we present a successful strategy to implement high-reliable system protection compliant to Class 2 of the EN61643-11:2002 + A11:2007 standard (or IEC/EN 61000-4-5), proved on actual products.
