Abstract :
Inter-MAN handover protocols for the cellular packet switch are developed, based on interconnecting MANs via gateways. Inter-MAN handover protocols utilize the gateway to maintain a connection as a user moves across MAN boundaries. This greatly reduces the fixed-network signalling traffic while protecting information in data communications
