Abstract :
The wind power generation process using asynchronous generators is analyzed. The study includes modeling and simulation of the windmill and the asynchronous generator, using for the latter the dynamic field-oriented model. The need to keep the power generated within admissible limits imposes the realization of a control over the pitch blade of the windmill so that the effective mechanical power supplied will be adequate irrespective of the wind velocity. The influence of variations of several parameters of the generator and of the external environment conditions is studied, justifying the necessity for an adaptive control of the process
