Abstract
A single-chip transceiver for wireless digital audio applications is realized in a 0.25 μm BiCMOS process. To avoid the congested 2.4 GHz band and to achieve better penetration through walls, 863 and 915 MHz bands are adopted. The frame structure used in this design guarantees a low latency for streaming audio. Adaptive frequency hopping and antenna diversity ensure robust link management.
