Abstract :
Clinical surgeries with internal fixation following Ennecking´s type II resection of peri-acetabular tumors are relatively complicated and also there are several different types of functional-reconstruction surgery techniques coming up in recent years. This paper, based on finite element method (FEM) and reverse engineering notion, focused upon the stability of reconstructed pelvis and stress distribution on corresponding part of bones, calculating from finite element models simulating three typical functional-reconstruction surgery techniques with internal fixation following Ennecking´s type II resection of peri-acetabular tumors. The quantitative results interpreted biomechanical distinction well among the three different functional-reconstruction surgery techniques. And it also implied that modeling ways and models constructed are reasonable and accuracy for further potential research upon individualized surgery planning concerned.
