Abstract :
Numerous industries have realized the importance of supply chain management, and e-commerce has emerged as a key enabler to drive supply chain integration. The Chinese government has begun to introduce e-commerce into pharmaceutical commerce. Based on the development of pharmaceutical supply chain in China, this paper attempts to show how Hainan Weihong get into this chain and what problem Hainan Weihong has to face during early time. After analyzing the success of Hainan Weihong in medicine online trade, medicine bidding procurement agency, providing e-commerce solution for pharmaceutical delivery and other related operations, we show the problems that Hainan Weihong has met recently, and how they plan to solve these problems. Hainan Weihong has developed and promoted two new kinds of operation: online payment system supported by bank credit and a new medicine delivery system, which show Hainan Weihong´s effort of trying to virtually enter the pharmaceutical industry
