Study on Reliability of TPL-based Logistics Networked Service System

Logistics system plays a key role in the modern society with its concrete support to the development of the whole areas of circulation, manufacturing and consumption. With the further development of Third-Party-Logistics (TPL) service, modern logistics service has a networked characteristic. The structure of TPL-based logistics networked service system is different from the traditional chain-like structure of logistics system. Taking the perspective of service, the study conducts a deep analysis on the characteristics of and realization of TPL-based logistics networked service system. And a series of methods on how to calculate the reliability of TPL-based logistics networked service system are put forward. It is implied that TPL-based logistics networked service system can offer much more reliable services to the service demanders with the optimal configuration among the TPL service providers and concluded with some research suggestions
