Abstract :
This work concerns the problem of logistics points´ layout. Two layout patterns for Distribution Centers: the orbicular layout model (OLM) and the honeycombed layout model (HLM), are brought out. The circumscription, in which logistics service is provided by a given Distribution Center, is established based on Voronoi diagrams. The two layout patterns are compared in three different ways, such as the maximal distance of distributions, the proportional degree of logistics volume of all Distribution Centers and the applicability of a layout pattern. An algorithm of HLM for Distribution Centers is designed. The conclusion in the present paper indicates that HLM is better than OLM when logistics demand is symmetric in certain areas
