Researching into judgment and decision-making: examples from studies of forecasting

This article deals with: the relation between problem-solving and decision-making; different types of cognitive process that may underlie decision-making; the theoretical and methodological approaches favoured by those working on decision-making within different research traditions. The author considers the judgemental forecasting aspects within a discussion of each of these issues
