Abstract
By focusing on major models used for tactical planning problematic, we propose in this paper a new classification of resolution approaches used for solving lot sizing problems such as capacitated lot sizing problem (CLSP) and the multi level capacitated lot sizing problem (MLCLSP). Indeed, both are well-known for modeling tactical planning problematic. The aim of this paper is twofold: first, we propose a review of resolution approaches used for CLSP and MLCLSP. Second, we indicate maximal sizes of solved instances for each approach. To conclude, we propose a brief review of models dedicated to supply chain tactical planning. This work proposes a panorama of generic models and methods (mathematical programming or approximated method) which can be used to elaborate an optimization tool for tactical planning problematic such as advanced planning system
