Abstract :
This paper presents a new definition of the market share for reactive market power assessment. The proposed definition takes into account the order with which the generators reach their reactive power limits when the load varies along a predefined direction. The reactive market power is then defined on the basis of the market share. Results of tests carried out on the IEEE 57-bus test system are presented.
