Abstract :
A frequency synthesizer incorporates one single-sideband mixer to switch among 7 bands distributed from 3 to 8 GHz with 1 ns settling time. Fabricated in a 0.18 μm CMOS technology, it achieves a sideband rejection of 37 dB while consuming 48 mW from a 2.2 V supply.
