Abstract :
We have fabricated gas sensors using carbon nanotubes(CNTs) and Pd(palladium)-CNTs on micro platform and detected reducing gases. The resistance increases under NH3 for both CNT and Pd-CNT sensors. Under CO, however, CNT and Pd-CNT sensors exhibit different behaviors. The resistance decreases for CNT sensors, whereas it increases for Pd-CNT sensors. In addition, better sensitivity and faster response over a variety range of concentrations are found in Pd-CNT than CNT sensors.
