Abstract :
In this paper, induction motor of which stator core is made of iron powder (Soft Magnetic Composite: SMC) is presented. The comparison of the performance of SMC induction motor and conventional laminated induction motor is shown. As the result, efficiency difference between SMC motor and conventional laminated motor is only 3.7% in spite of the permeability of SMC is 20% lower than conventional laminated steel iron.
