Abstract :
Electronically commutated motors (ECM) application has been a result of the recent advances in electronics and magnetic materials like rare-earth magnets. This paper presents a simple and typical axial flux permanent magnet motor (AFPMM) topology which is basically formed by sintered neodymium-iron-boron magnets and etched airgap windings. Experimental results of the small size prototype are presented
