Abstract
In the past, we found that the left-alone patients were passively monitored with a video camera while under the computed tomography (CT) examinations. This doesn´t guarantee a full observation of the patients´ medical conditions. The heart rate (HR) alteration during the examination could reveal different physiologic conditions of the patients, according to many clinical reports. The standard pulse oximeter (SpO2) used to monitor the HR. It is usually difficult to obtain correct characteristics while extracting heart rate of the patients because the variation of waveforms caused by the moved of fingers and toes or bad connection of probes. We will discuss how to solve the extracting heart rate problems from raw plethysmograph waveform by using Wavelet filter. The result of our research shows the possibility.
