Abstract :
More and more manufacturing enterprise goes into global competition. It is important to make right strategies for competitive position. Service, as one of the competitive priorities, has attracted more attention. However, not every enterprise can get competitive advantage by using service strategy. This research will aim at evaluating "the Importance of Service Competitive Priority (ISCP)" of manufacturing enterprise and analyzing the evolvement trend of ISCP. Data used in this article is form International Manufacturing Strategy Survey (IMSS, 1993-2001), which initiated by London Business School. This paper will evaluate service strategies under variables constraints, such as country, product, market demand, customer orders, process type, and time. Time is used to study the evolvement situation of ISCP. To facilitate this study, the paper will offer a calculation method to scale ISCP. By this research, the author tries to discover the suitable area and evolvement trend of service competitive strategy under different constraints. So, it can provide evidence for manufacturing enterprise to choose competitive strategy
