Abstract :
The optical flow equation (OFE) is important to estimate the motion field in image processing. However the traditional OFE algorithm isn´t robust. Ignoring this problem, the large error will happen. In this paper, the conditions of OFE had been discussed, and the OFE algorithm had been improved, improvement had rendered the algorithm reliable performance. Then, a new motion estimation algorithm on OFPE(Optical Flow Parameter Equation) was introduced. This algorithm expanded the applicable field of OFE, let it deal with the complex motion of image sequence, including translation, rotation, and zoom. For aircraft-based image processing system, the algorithm has great significance.
