Abstract :
Presented paper concerns a problem of fast and reliable estimation of voltage waveform quality in ships´ electrical power systems. Especially, a problem of detection and further estimation of transient disturbances as well as harmonics of higher order has been shown. The proposed method is based on both digital Fourier transform DFT and digital wavelet transform DWT as complementary tools. In the paper the experimental results of research have been presented. The research concerns the nonsteady-states as well as steady-states operation of analysed systems. The analysis contains results of evaluation of transients, harmonics and voltage RMS value and frequency deviations, as well.
