Abstract :
As the backup power supply of DC system when AC power failure occurs, the residual capacity of battery effected safe operation of DC system directly. It is of great realistic significance to realize on-line measurement for the residual capacity of battery. To overcome the shortcomings of traditional measurement methods such as density method, opening voltage method, DC discharge method and so on, a new kind of measurement instrument for residual capacity of battery is presented. The instrument, with MC68332 as kernel, adopting AC measurement method, realizes on-line measurement for the residual capacity of battery. The principles, hardware and software design of the instrument are introduced emphatically. Experimental results have proved that the project is quite operational and effective.
