Abstract :
Survivorship is a complex attribute; therefore, its estimation is performed with the usage of the system of indexes. Every group characterizes a definite attribute or the process in the system. Since it is assumed to differ structural and functional survivorship all indexes characterizing this attribute are divided into indexes aimed for the estimation of structural survivorship; indexes aimed for the estimation of functional survivorship. Further we suggest to divide the indexes into complex aimed for the estimation of the system state or functioning as a whole and private ones aimed for the estimation of the state or. functioning of separate subsystems Or blocks. Private indexes of the system structural survivorship are the indexes of the theory of reliability. The last division should be performed as the method of determination, i.e. according to the determinate of probabilistic indexes. The paper suggests a classification of the known survivorship indexes.
