Abstract
A 40 Gb/s PRBS generator with a sequence length of 27-1 is implemented in a SiGe BiCMOS process with ft=120 GHz. It consumes 550 mW from a 2.5 V supply. Low-voltage operation is achieved through the use of an alternative family of logic gates with reduced device stacking.
