Abstract
Radiation purification has a series of advantages. First, this process doesn´t require introducing new chemical reagents into the treated water; therefore there are no consumed materials. Second, ionizing radiation acts not only on all chemical admixtures but also on all types of microorganisms thereby providing water disinfection. Usage of accelerator electrons allows one to control cleaning process easily and to combine it with other purification methods. Conducted experiments showed that humates solution is decolorized under the action of the electron beam. Water color decreases with an increase of the radiation dose. Concentration of organic substances in solution decreases correspondently.
