Abstract :
Based on the considered calculations it was established that there is an optimal concentration of the plumbum vapors, at which more favorable conditions for the excitation (the current leading edge and voltage decrease) is observed. It is related both to the current and to the voltage at the gas discharge tube. Under given conditions one can expect maximum values of the generation power. With an increase of the value of peaking coil and the gas discharge tube inductance (which were presented by total value in calculations) the degradation of the pumping (tightening of the excitation pulses) is observed. High prepulsed concentration of electrons result in redistribution of the power taken from the rectifier between commutating element and the gas discharge tube in favour of commutator. That can reduce both energetic and frequency laser characteristics.
