  • Abstract
In this study, we have designed a high-performance excitation source and chose the optimal excitation coil to improve the efficiency of magnetic induction tomography system. A new type excitation source with adjustable output has been designed, the power circuit is simulated by the software ICPA. Focused and solenoid coils were designed by the design principle, then the optimal excitation coil was proved by measuring the magnetic field distribution and the experimentation of phase detection with cells models. At certain excitation frequency, parameters of output power of the excitation source are 0.035 W~31.4 W, the steady output peak current over 1 A, frequency stability of 10"9, THD amplitude of less -51dB. The focused discal excitation coil is most effective for phase detection with cells models than other coils. The excitation source can produce certain frequency sine wave, with higher frequency stability, lower THD and wider adjustable output power. The phase difference of normal and edema cell can be obtained by focused discal coil.
